Dear Prof. Dawes,
I'm impressed with your input. FYI, the feedback I've received so far is exceptionally positive and quite encouraging. We're indeed in a forum and wait to receive profound inputs like yours. I wish to encourage everyone to pay keen attention to Andy's remarks/suggestions.
May I inform you, Andy, and the members of the forum that a first step is to recruit authors and solicit acceptance of the two boards. For further information, I've not received a negative feedback yet and hope none will come. The second, more difficult step will be, as you suggest Andy to map out a roadmap to substantiate each chapter in the light that Andy hints in item 1. This book must move from theory to substance - a more difficult but not impossible project.
Of course, Africa has many theories of the universe, which is why we are struggling to recruit authors from across Africa and "Africa-sensitive scholars". Having said this, please do not proceed to draft your chapter until you hear from us. I'll use this opportunity to request Andy to kindly specify the missing chapter and suggest authors, whom I'll then invite.
Given the difficulty to transcend current paradigms and shift to the one avocated for our book project and series, I wish to indicate that we are prepared to learn from the past, from errors and to improve with interstimulation and collegiality hitherto largely missing in African scholarship.
Let us grow together in this process and forum's projects.
Bame
